Jag heter Andreas . Jag är grundaren av Yureeca . För några år sedan var jag precis som du. Försöker lära sig ett nytt språk och misslyckas illa.
Sedan jag var en ung pojke har jag alltid varit förvirrad när det gäller att lära mig språk. Varför är det så svårt ? Hur hänger allt ihop? Varför glömmer jag hela tiden ord nästa dag?
Varje dag förväntade läraren att jag skulle komma ihåg ord att fråga mig om. Men hur mycket jag än försökte, så höll det bara inte .
Känns bekant? Oändlig skräck för att försöka memorera hundratals ord på ett främmande språk.
Men jag väntade alltid på att läraren skulle berätta HUR . Varför sa läraren aldrig hur jag kunde memorera så många ord på så kort tid? Varför var det alltid fokuserat på att få resultat? Och aldrig processen att göra det?
Jag fick aldrig svaret. Och därför gav jag upp det.
Snabbspola framåt ca 20 år. Jag träffade en underbar person som nu är min fru. Den enda utmaningen var språkbarriären, eftersom hon är korean.
Men jag hade såklart inget val. Jag behövde lära mig det koreanska språket .
Men som nordeuropé lär sig ett asiatiskt språk. Det var ingen lätt bedrift . Jag kämpade för att lära mig varje dag. Först gick jag på språkskolor. Sedan laddade jag ner språkinlärningsappar. Jag försökte också läsa läroböcker.
Tid och pengar rann ut. Jag fortsatte att upprepa samma gamla mönster. Först lärde jag mig några grunder. Mina färdigheter förbättrades lite. Sedan glömde jag lite av grunderna. Det var två steg framåt, ett steg tillbaka.
Var det snabbt? Nej. Var det effektivt? Nej. Visste jag vad jag gjorde? Nej!
Problemet jag hade var att jag inte visste hur inlärning fungerar. Vad får hjärnan att lagra det vi lär oss? Överallt säger de vad de ska lära sig, men inte hur och varför.
Och det var då jag hade mitt stora eureka- ögonblick. Det måste finnas ett annat sätt att lära sig språk.
Så jag började läsa böcker. Många böcker. Böcker om neurovetenskap , språkinlärning och lärande i allmänhet. För att ta reda på hur hjärnan fungerar. Eftersom hjärnstudier fortfarande är i ett tidigt skede var allt färskt ur skrivaren.
Jag var tvungen att lära mig vad som händer i våra hjärnor när jag lär mig något nytt . Jag var tvungen att hitta den hemliga ingrediensen i lärande. Att avslöja vad som hindrar oss från att lära.
Under tiden fortsatte jag att pröva olika nya sätt att lära. Hittade nya kända språkinlärningsappar. Verklig språkfördjupning. Fysiska flashkort. Fortsatte att gå på språkskolan. Det här var några okej sätt att lära sig. Det "kunde" fungera för dig.
Men de var oftast inte användarvänliga och fokuserade sällan på det som var viktigt i hjärnan när de lärde sig.
Jag fortsatte att lära mig orden som de valde åt mig om och om igen. Jag tappade intresset hela tiden .
Att ge upp var inte en möjlighet . Jag var tvungen att lära mig snabbare, smartare och bättre.
Äntligen kom dagen då jag fick nog. Om det skulle bli gjort var jag tvungen att skapa den själv.
Jag gick in i min grotta och skulle inte komma ut förrän jag hade grejen .
Jag tog neurovetenskap och blandade det med programmering. Som grädde på moset lade jag till allt jag kunde hitta angående språkinlärning . Allt detta resulterade i ett verktyg för att skapa språkmästare .
Jag kom ut ur min grotta med Yureeca i mina händer.
Fungerade det? Ja!
Och det var då jag insåg att detta kunde ha sparat mig hundratals timmar och tusentals dollar om det bara hade funnits när jag började. Alla långsamma sätt att lära sig har bara slösat bort min tid och pengar.
I flera år har de gjort samma gamla grej. "Läs en bok och upprepa efter mig." eller "Du måste lära dig det här, men hur du gör det måste du ta reda på själv." Äntligen kunde jag bryta mig ur deras kedjor och få de resultat jag förtjänade. Blixtsnabb.
Det verkliga problemet är att de gamla systemen inte bryr sig om hur vår hjärna fungerar.
När jag väl insåg att för att lära oss måste vi följa några steg och arbeta med hjärnan, inte mot den. Det var då jag började lära mig snabbt!
Först insåg jag inte detta. Men samma tekniker fungerar för ungefär allt du vill lära dig i livet.
Så nu vet du varför jag bestämde mig för att skapa Yureeca .
Det tog mig ett bra tag att ta reda på vad som behövdes . Jag fick utstå mycket frustration och smärta. Men det var det värt .
Det får mig att lära mig tusentals ord supersnabbt.
